meet the editor

When I was in high school, I started realizing just how much I loved English. I absolutely loved writing and found it easier to communicate what I was thinking and feeling through words on a page rather than trying to explain myself aloud. I could get lost in a book for hours, throwing myself into the fictional story in front of me and tuning out the actual world around me.
My junior year, I took a grammar class, and as odd as it sounds, that's what truly solidified my goal of gaining a degree in English. The rules of writing just made so much sense to me, and when I saw my classmates struggling to grasp concepts and rules that instantly clicked for me, I knew I not only had a love for writing but also a knack for the intricacies it takes to write well.

I moved onto college, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Education. I taught middle school for two years, and while I loved it, the classes I was teaching didn't hold the rigor I was craving. I started looking for other opportunities, and for the past five years, I have been teaching high school, allowing me to hone in on my skills of writing and reading even more.

In the fall of 2023, I decided to fully dive into the world of writing and editing. I am currently working on my own debut novel (which will be released under a pen name, shh), and I have begun serving indie authors as an editor as well. I worked with Chelsie Lynn on her debut novel The Best of Both and loved being able to focus on the details that are sometimes overlooked, especially when new writers have so many other pieces of the puzzle to worry about.

I absolutely love rom-com style books, and I'm not afraid of spice (like at all). I came up with the name PG Unleashed because not only is PG my initials, but PG is the exact opposite rating of the books we all know and love. I added "unleashed" because that's exactly what I want the writers I work with to do: unleash their imagination without any restriction or fear of being judged for what they put on the page.
